The prestigious award ceremony was held on March 7th, 2024, at the Toyota by CFAO offices located at 1090 Adeola Odeku Street in Victoria Island, Lagos, and 28 Ndola Crescent in Wuse, Zone 5, Abuja. The event was a delightful celebration of the exceptional creativity and talent of young artists from all over the country, who participated in the contest and showcased their brilliant artwork. A truly momentous occasion that left everyone feeling inspired and motivated.

This year’s National Contest was a huge success, with over 2,700 entries from all over Nigeria. Three winners from each age category were selected to represent our country at the World Contest in Japan!

Speaking at the award ceremony, Boye Ajayi, MD Toyota by CFAO said, “The National contest invites children from all corners of the country to share ideas about the future of mobility by drawing their dream cars. The artworks displayed at the ceremony not only demonstrated the artistic prowess of Nigerian children but also reflected their unique perspectives on mobility, sustainability, and technological advancement. Through their vibrant creations, these young artists showcased Nigeria’s potential as a hub of creativity and innovation in the automotive industry, and we at Toyota hope that this activity will help nurture the creativity of the next generation of great inventors, thinkers, and dreamers.”

“Since 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has been conducted as part of Toyota’s social contribution initiatives. In 2023 alone, there were about 780,000 entries from 90 countries and regions around the globe”, he said.
